An earlier study on ISO 14001(EMS) implementation has not addressed core elements of all the clauses and validation of the same in ISO 14001 certified industries.
Earlier studies on Environmental management system implementation have not addressed the vital issues of relationship between various clauses of ISO 14001 for improving organizational environmental performance along with development of model. It is also observed that mostly research considered only on a manufacturing sector at a time and very few attributes have been considered and response collected.
In this research work, the core attributes of all the clauses of ISO 14001 have been considered and response collected from the certified industries to measure the impacts of EMS implementation on improving the environmental performance. In present research study, the models have been developed to enhance the environmental performance of the ISO 14001 certified organization through SPSS. Finally, the study on validation stated that by implementing the model, the industries where survey took place have achieved almost 30% improvement in environmental performance.
